HUMAN - THE MUSICAL®
The story and original concept for the musical were born in 1997.
At the time, Steven Richmann — then an unknown composer and lyricist — had the dream of bringing a musical to the stage.
The storyline was written quickly, and the production was initially planned to premiere at the turn of the millennium.
But as Steven’s career grew and he became involved in numerous musical projects, life took him in many directions.
Again and again, in rare quiet moments, he would return to the script, refining it and working toward a production. Yet something always got in the way, and the musical was never brought to the stage. It remained tucked away in a drawer — alongside the many other projects and ideas created by this exceptional talent.
Now, almost 30 years later, Steven — at a more mature stage of life — has finally found the time to return to the musical. Casting is set to begin soon, with rehearsals planned for 2026.
The goal is clear: to present the musical to the world exactly 30 years later — in 2027. Naturally, the world premiere is planned for New York, the very heart of musical theatre.
What is the story about?
Well… that remains a secret. Steven prefers not to reveal the plot, as he wants to ensure that no one turns his idea (which is legally protected) into their own.
